It’s that time of the year again! Like previous years I’m going to list of my favourite games of 2016, which will also include games released in previous years. I do this so that I can get across what I’ve personally liked playing this year, as not everyone has the chance to play every 2016 release. Without further ado! 10. Black Ops 3 Surprisingly, despite most critics claiming the first black-ops was the best, I found that the third was my favourite. Don’t get me wrong, it was odd breaking away from the continuity of the previous two, but it was still an enjoyable game in it’s own right, and easily just as good (if not better) than advanced warfare. Should you be able to get the game on sale, do it. You don’t need to have played the previous black-ops games to play this one, so give it a…

Hey all!   Well, what a weird 2016 that was! Outside of the constant celebrity deaths and crazy political landscape we now find ourselves in (WW3 is looking more and more likely by the day), I had a productive year when it came to games. Whilst not all of my resolutions were successfully completed, I made headway in some and have learned from my mistakes in others, so can proceed with some experience on 2017’s resolutions. Watch out for those on January 1st, but for now, on with 2016’s results: Green = Completed Orange = In progress Red = Not started Complete and Review 52 Games On Caesoose.com – 63 Completed in total Well, if you check back, I’ve certainly been keeping to this resolution! I have to say, even when everything else in my life starts to fall apart, or time flies by, I will always make sure to keep…

Hey all! With tomorrow being the 27th week of the year (meaning today is exactly half way through the year!), I’ve decided to give an update on my New Years Resolutions (just as I did last year). But first, I must apologise. I have no idea how or why, but I didn’t seem to post my New Years Resolutions on here back in January. I’ve kept up to date with next to everything else this year, so why this slipped my mind is beyond me! Anyway! Without further ado, by all means see my New Years Resolutions for the first time along with my progress on them – As with last years progress update, I’ll colour code each bullet point with the following: Green = Completed Orange = In progress Red = Not started Complete and Review 52 Games On Caesoose.com – 40 Completed So Far Well, if you check…

So, with half the year officially over and done, I wanted to take a look at my new years resolutions and see how far I’ve come towards accomplishing them so far. Without further ado, the list below will be crossed out or numbered depending on how close I am to completing it: Get a new job – Success! Success! I managed to get a new job (Product Specialist & Project Coordinator) with a nice pay rise 🙂 Hard work certainly pays off eventually. Put Twixel on iOS & Android After importing the game into Unity 5, I encountered many problems with it, with animations no longer working and a lot of the scripts I used refusing to work after updating. This will take a lot of work, but I’m more focused on the second game now than this. I plan to come back to porting the game once I’ve messed…

Hi all, So, in writing on my blog for 2 years now and writing for gamrReview.com for almost a year, I had never actually gotten around to interviewing a developer in what it took to make their game, and other questions consumers may have in mind for making a viable purchase of said product. Thankfully, out of nowhere I got an email from a PR representative on behalf of Rubycone Games who wanted to see if I’d be interested in an interview. I said yes and jumped at the chance to do this, and below, you can go to the published end result: http://www.gamrreview.com/preview/92387/reinventing-the-horror-game-with-rubycone-games-hektor A few things I’ve learnt for future interviews though: Make sure the software you use doesn’t corrupt any recordings you make, you’ll want to come back to the interview time and time again to ensure accuracy, or even a written transcript, something I couldn’t do in…

Hi all! Just a quick update really, in the future I’m going to give my weekly gaming article a review score. As much as I think reading a whole article will give a better idea about how a person feels about a game more than a score, sometimes a score is a good way to sum it up. (especially with my writing skills, I sometimes can’t articulate my feelings on a game.) So as of today, I’ll be going through all my old reviews and giving them a score, whilst also giving any future review a score. The scoring system will be as follows: 1/5: Do not touch this game, its a waste of money and I feel for the devs that made it. 2/5: A lot of flaws makes for a strange game. Buy it if you must, but be warned, it’s not for everyone. 3/5: A great game…

Just thought I’d update the site about what’s currently being played, so here it goes: Bought Modnation Racers for the Playstation Vita as it was on sale in the PSN Store for only £11.99, so I’ll be posting my first thoughts about it soon this week. So far I really don’t know how I feel about it, so time will tell. Dragons Dogma was released on Friday (25th of May) and initially whilst I was serving all day it seemed to outsell Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier, surprising and highly welcome. I can’t say sales will continue in this pattern, as knowing GAME they’ll stop stocking Dragons Dogma well before Ghost Recon, even when people still want it. (Exactly what happened with Kingdoms of Amular: Reckoning) I bought it on day of release, and so far I know I’ll love the game, but I can’t seem to get hooked.…
