Hey all! So this week I need to apologise: a while back I had so much work to do that I ended up reviewing Tokyo 42 for VGchartz.com, and even making a video review, but never actually linked to it. So here’s my blog post about the game! (finally!). Overall, I enjoyed Tokyo 42 quite a bit, the soundtrack rubbed me up the wrong way, but from start to finish I genuinely enjoyed the aesthetic and great gameplay. Shame it gets hard towards the end, but that may have been my own incompetence rather than the game itself. I wanted to do less episodic gaming this year (as I swear I played far too many episodic games last year, which is kind of cheating when you’re meant to be completing a game a week!), but here I am, playing another Telltale episodic game.┬áMy reasoning for this one is that VGChartz.com needed someone to review Michonne, and since I’ve recently completed watching theTV show from scratch, I wanted to see how one of my favourite characters played out in a game. http://www.vgchartz.com/article/263526/the-walking-dead-michonne-episode-1-in-too-deep-pc/ Unfortunately, as my review above will attest, it does not turn out well at all. When you make a character driven series like The Walking Dead, you have to make sure you actually care about the characters, something Michonne doesn’t allow you, as the player, to do in any way, shape or form.
